Chapter 24 – Charging towards oneself, with no retreat possible

Heaven and Earth Society?

Lu Ce leaned against the window, listening to the distant shouts, and couldn't help but twitch his mouth.

He had just been discussing organizations and powers with Xie Antong, and now one had already appeared?

And isn't this wrong? Wasn't the Heaven and Earth Society an organization from the Ming and Qing dynasties, commonly known as the Hongmen? How could it suddenly pop up in this day and age?

Lu Ce keenly sensed that this definitely had something to do with the Chosen's Paradise, or it might even be an organization directly targeting it.

After that astonishing roar, the other side didn't stop but continued to shout:

"The sun and moon turn, cycles repeat."

"The Chosen descend, the world unites!"

"The world belongs to the Heaven and Earth Society!"

Lu Ce: ......

Listening to this voice, Lu Ce knew he was right; it was definitely an organization founded with the aim of targeting the Chosen's Paradise.

"The sun and moon turn..."

The other side seemed to have lost their mind, shouting angrily and repeating the same words over and over, making Lu Ce feel a bit bored.

Along with the shouting were the screams of various students and the sounds of things being smashed.

Walls collapsed, and various desks and chairs flew through the air; who knew how many people were injured.

Lu Ce's senses were among the sharpest of humans, and hearing the commotion, he guessed that the other side was likely below him, as the teaching area on the floor below was already in chaos.

But Lu Ce had no intention of getting involved in this matter.

He was just puzzled as to why the school would let such people in.

Since they weren't here, he decided to leave; there was nothing more to say...

Boom!

Just as Lu Ce was thinking this, an explosion suddenly rang out. The floor of the corridor outside the classroom was suddenly smashed open by a huge hammer, sending bricks flying and dust rising.

The next second, a big guy over 1.9 meters tall, with tattered clothes and unnaturally swollen muscles, jumped out from the blasted floor.

Standing amidst the dust, the man slightly raised his head and locked eyes with Lu Ce, who was looking out the window.

The two stared at each other, wide-eyed.

Lu Ce: ......

Fing hell, his luck was really bad; he just had to lock eyes with him right after saying he wouldn't run into him.

Lu Ce instantly averted his gaze, jumped down from the window, and accurately found his seat in the chaotic classroom.

With just one glance, he had already memorized the man's general appearance and characteristics.

The muscle swelling had reached a tearing level, clearly not a normal human muscle level; his eyes were blood-red, and he seemed completely irrational.

He was wearing a school uniform, now full of holes, stretched by his swollen muscles and damaged in the smashing.

He was holding a large hammer with a head diameter of over thirty centimeters, made of some unknown metal; a normal person hit by it would definitely be either dead or severely injured.

Lu Ce had a rough idea in his mind—this person was a student at the school and definitely a player!

He just didn't know why he had become like this.

"Is it here? What is it!?"

Xie Antong, standing nearby, loudly asked as she saw Lu Ce jump back.

"Probably a player who went berserk for some reason, and now seems to be promoting some organization of his," Lu Ce replied.

"Let's go!"

Xie Antong didn't waste any words, pulling Lu Ce towards the door.

After two games, she had seen too many scenes and knew very well what kind of threat strong players posed to ordinary people now.

At this moment, several connected classrooms in the east district were already in chaos, with all the students running outside, excitement outweighing fear.

Just as they stepped out the door, they saw the giant standing there in a daze.

"Holy crap! Liu Peng?!"

Among the students, someone recognized him and seemed quite familiar.

They walked over with a face full of surprise, looking at the dazed, irrational giant.

"You joined the game, didn't you? How did you end up like this?"

"Cool."

The giant didn't even look at him, casually waving his hand, sending the student flying like a plastic bag, knocked seven or eight meters away with a single slap!

By the time he hit the ground, he was already unconscious.

The crowd immediately scattered in fear, leaving an empty space in the middle of the classroom.

"The sun and moon turn, cycles repeat..."

The giant didn't even glance at the crowd, just kept shouting slogans loudly in the air, making everyone's eardrums ache.

He swung the giant hammer in his hand, smashing the classroom wall in front of him to pieces with a boom.

For some reason, Lu Ce couldn't help but think "eighty, eighty..." in his mind.

The giant didn't actively pursue anyone; within a few dozen seconds, most people had already run away. Just then, the giant suddenly turned his head, his blood-red eyes looking towards the crowd.

—And locked eyes with Lu Ce!

Lu Ce: Fing hell you!

Why the hell do you keep locking eyes with me? Can't you look at someone else?

Lu Ce averted his gaze, already having a rough judgment of the giant's strength.

—Far inferior to me.

Suddenly, the giant's eyes widened as he looked at Lu Ce, charging towards him, his massive body creating a gust of wind.

The crowd was immediately alarmed, quickly running away, with Lu Ce and Xie Antong following the crowd, retreating quickly.

The giant stood still, swinging the giant hammer in his hand, smashing it towards the crowd with a whistling wind.

Lu Ce raised an eyebrow, suddenly feeling like it was aimed at him.

Instinctively, he slowed his steps slightly, deciding to try taking the blow with his shoulder to see how much Pain Value it would generate.

"Dodge!"

Beside him, Xie Antong forcefully pulled his arm, using her body strength to help him dodge the blow.

"What are you doing? Hurry up and run, are you that slow to react?"

Lu Ce looked at the girl in slight surprise, then at the giant charging towards them again.

He confirmed with his eyes that this was the one he was looking for.

He could now be eighty percent sure that this thing seemed to have its eyes set on him.

If he mixed in with the crowd, it would not only cause unnecessary casualties to others but also make it easy for people to see that the giant was specifically targeting him among the crowd.

After a brief thought, Lu Ce looked at the crowd dispersing to the side and said to Xie Antong, who was urging him to leave:

"Thank you."

Then he pushed her into the crowd, tripping himself to separate from them.

A lone figure stood out, and the berserk giant walked towards him. In a chase and escape, they left the crowd, arriving at a slightly spacious platform at the corner of the floor.

Lu Ce leaned against the corner wall, calmly turning around to face the panting giant opposite him.

There was no retreat now!
