To the northwest of Longzuo Commandery City, the terrain gradually rises.

A wide river originates from the highlands of the massive Tianlong Mountain Range, flowing from west to east across the entire Longzuo, and rushes into the sea from the Jinzhou Peninsula.

The upper and middle reaches of the river are known as the Chijin Plateau, with a significant elevation drop towards the east. The river carries a large amount of red sand, turning the water a reddish hue, with surging waves that are grand and imposing. Hence, this river is called the Chijin River!
